This piece was one of my first works for loudspeakers and was composed in my second year of undergrad. The source material is the Music Machine's answerphone message, I remember calling them on a Sunday, forgetting that they were closed, then having a good laugh at the "greetings" that came down the line. From memory, most of the processing is granular, and there are a few seconds of drums performed by Dean Gibson from another project we did. Most of my electroacoustic works use the voice in some way, usually as point of reference for the listener and to create a sense of narrative.
