The first of three short studies for snare drum and graphic score. This installment is an exploration of timbre and features hands stoking the skin of the snare drum. It requires the performer to follow a video score created in max msp which instructs them on the speed, direction and location in which to stroke the drum head. The work was part of APO principal percussion Eric Renick's student works project.
